Decades: Ten years ago, James Macleod caught a brutal serial killer. But the now-retired detective always believed he was guilty of far more violence. Now he has the chance to uncover the truth, but one truth leads to another, and the unintended consequences stack up until no involved will get out unscathed.
The idea for Decades had been in my head since I was 16. I’d read about the police taking Moors Murderer, Ian Brady out to show them where he’d buried one of the victims. Something about that kept coming back to me and about 15 years later I started reading and researching serial murderers while I figured out what the story was.
Decades was the first story I finished and I was probably a bit too ambitious (152 pages!). But it was the best I could do at the time, and it taught me a lot for my current project. I cringe at some of the art now, but there are some parts towards the end that are quite cool.
I originally shared Decades as a real-life book (you can still buy it on my Etsy store) and as a digital version.
